GCF
will fund and support the setting up of initiatives, organizations,
networks and cultural and intellectual spaces and centers that
are resonant with its mission, goals and values. It will seek
to sustain and aid such entities where they are already extant

and possible, for the creation and accumulation of vital assets
and infrastructure in the form of building funds, equipment and
personnel and administrative costs for such entities.
GCF
will endow libraries, chairs and fellowships in order to foster
intellectual activity of the highest quality in the humanities
and the arts.
GCF
will support intellectuals, researchers, scholars, artists, media
practitioners and cultural workers (especially but not only from
the Global South) with bursaries, travel, research and book grants.
GCF

and collaborative work at local, regional and international levels.
GCF
will support the creation of media works, works of art and creative
processes.
GCF

GCF
will publish and support the publication of books, journals, electronic
and web content on themes of contemporary relevance.
GCF
will actively support ambitious translation projects between different
languages so as to foster a genuinely global intellectual conversation.

lectures, colloquia and seminars in order to foster the highest
standards of public intellectual activity.
GCF

recognizing that education in these areas often lacks support
in many countries.
